Introduction to Bass Fishing Class @ UMS
April 21, 2011, aspiring professional angler and R & B Bass Circuit competitor, Teddy Bradley, of Mishawaka, Indiana, visited the class.
Bradley spoke to the class about his experiences as a co-angler in  FLW tournaments, but also went into detail in the steps he is taking to one day become a full time professional. He was very humble.
Below are trophies and plaques Bradley has accrued through his competition on the FLW trail and other various tournament trails. He shared many lessons he learned from those experiences. Some good, some not.
Bradley shared with the class his favorite lakes in the Michiana area. He offered fishing tips on those lakes and how to work his favorite baits. Left, he went in depth about one of his favorite techniques: crankbaiting.
A boater for the kids tournament May 14, Bradley fired the students up by asking them who is going to win. 1 of the 4 girls spoke up, "I'm going to win and prove to the boys a girl can win!" It may happen. In the 2010 UMS Tourney, the only female in the class, Catie, finished 2nd.
Surprisingly, when brought to Bradley's attention that a girl finished 2nd in last year's tournament he responded, "I know." Students are flattered to know he has researched them.
An ambassadeur of the sport and now role model, Bradley selflessly and thoroughly answered all of the students' questions.
